Local Food Producers
Below is a list of resources where you can buy local, seasonal produce and support our food producers. Food is not only about the individual elements that you put in your mouth, it is also about health, wellness, livelihoods, biodiversity, the environment, activism, politics, and economy. You can make a difference by voting with your money, cutting out the middle man who takes all the money, and finding good, clean, fair food that has not been tampered with.
Buying local, organic or ecological doesn't need to be expensive as you will see from the links below, and since you aren't going into the supermarket, it stops you buying all the extra unhealthy foods that you don't really need.
This list is not exhaustive, it is still evolving, so please feel free to email me with local food producers to add onto it.
The list is focused on providing information for people living in the Glasgow area, but I have also added some great rural businesses who sell online and deliver to Glasgow

We also supply a full range of pork and lamb from local farms with a similar philosophy to ourselves and these products are also very popular amongst our customers. Scottish Sea Salt
www.hebrideanseasalt.co.uk - See website for stockists in Glasgow.
Most table salts are highly processed and laden with anti-caking agents (some sea salts use anti-caking agents as well) and are usually stripped of their naturally occuring trace elements. Hebridean Sea Salt, on the other hand, is a pure, natural, unrefined salt that retains over sixty naturally occurring trace elements such as potassium, calcium, magnesium and zinc. All of which are essential for good health and wellbeing.
