1-2-1 Massage/MYOFASCIAL RELEASE & yoga
Massage works to treat constricted, knotted or injured tissue that restrict our movement, whilst Yoga works to treat movement patterns that limit our sense of wellbeing. They both help to alleviate stress and tension in the body and mind.
The treatment will last an hour and half treatment of Massage then Yoga. During the initial consultation we will briefly look at your overall lifestyle and diet, sources of pain and discomfort in the body, and what your main goals of the treatment are. The first half of the session we will work with Massage or Myofascial Release to dissolve physical tension by warming and relaxing the muscles. During the second half of the treatment we will work through non-assisted yoga somatic movements and relaxing breath techniques tailored to your needs. A tailor-made routine will be given to take away and practice. In the follow up treatments we will review this routine discussing how you are developing and continue to work with massage/MFR and yoga.
Movement in combination with massage can have a very powerful effect on your sense of wellbeing, muscle tension, stress, body image, connection to self, release of trauma, and unrestricted movement.
The treatment empowers individuals to take responsibility and an active role in the creation of their own health.
